A Notary Public is a person, designated by the Provincial Government and compliant to a rigorous ethical code, who can provide the following legal services: Wills, Power of Attorneys, Representation Agreements, residential real estate conveyancing, the administration of oaths, affirmations, and declarations for affidavits and statutory declarations. If a notary makes errors or is negligent, the Society of Notaries requires members to carry insurance to cover damage incurred by the client.
